Questioning the Narratives of Happiness, Mental Health & Eating Dis/Orders
I am a PhD-level Social Scientist and Psychologist (University of Vienna / Ruhr University Bochum) specializing in the critical analysis of psychological knowledge. My work - ranging from my book Kritik der Positiven Psychologie (Critique of Positive Psychology) to my clinical practice - explores the intersections of individual psyche, cultural norms, and power, as well as the socio-cultural implications of modern psychological trends.
In my current research on the hegemonic discourse of eating disorders, I integrate cultural-psychological and psychoanalytic perspectives with feminist theory, phenomenology, and post-structuralist approaches.
Alongside my research, I maintain a private practice and serve as a frequent speaker for organizations and universities. I help institutions understand the hidden dynamics of "Mental Health Trends" and their profound impact on modern subjectivity. My workshops and seminars foster deep reflection on how our lives are shaped by cultural standards, psychological knowledge production, and digital media.
Passionate about public discourse, I also regularly share insights on my Substack/blog, translating complex theoretical frameworks into engaging cultural critique.
